About Us
Upper Rectory is a small friendly restaurant in Berriew, near Welshpool in Powys run by Les Routiers award winning chef/proprietor Kerry Huber with seating for groups of 2 up to 20 people on simply laid tables opening Thursday to Saturday evenings by reservation.

Our unique selling point is that the restaurant is within our home making it intimate and welcoming and that we were the original "Tasting Menu Only" supper club serving 7 courses, highlighting the management of food waste and green ethics.
At £35.00 per person the menu can be experienced at a leisurely pace, as your table is yours for the entire evening. This can be tailor made to suit any dietary requirements upon request.
Our food is an eclectic mix, based on Kerry's personal taste, paired with sound cooking techniques; rather than a particular country's cuisine but is influenced by modern European with French cooking using locally sourced produce, the finest Welsh organic cheeses and our own home grown produce. The dishes are created to reflect what’s in season, and what’s really good to eat. At Upper Rectory we use Welsh produce as much as possible, thus cutting down on food miles.
Upper Rectory is a fully licensed restaurant, serving delicious local ales. We also stock a varied selection of Gins, ( including Brecon and Da Mhile seaweed gin) Vodkas & Whiskeys along with many other pre-dinner aperitifs, that can be taken in our comfy informal lounge along with complimentary canapes to start the evening. We have a full and comprehensive wine list, with world wines chosen by Paul to compliment the dishes on our menu.
Due to the abundance of excellent quality ingredients our menu is liable to change on a daily basis, depending on the availability of local produce and seasonal variations.
