The Restaurant
Upper Rectory is a small, family run restaurant in Berriew that offers a
garden-to-table dining experience.
Chef Kerry Huber and her husband, Paul Huber, have created an intimate and welcoming setting in their own home. They emphasize using fresh, local ingredients sourced from their own kitchen gardens and local suppliers, allowing the natural flavours to shine through.
Their menus reflect the culinary calendar, featuring seasonal ingredients. By using Welsh produce and minimising food waste, Upper Rectory also promotes sustainable practices and ethical management.
Our Team
It's Just Us Two!!
Kerry Huber, the chef, and co-proprietor of Upper Rectory, has a rich background in the culinary industry. Prior to running Upper Rectory, she owned the acclaimed La Foret in Odiham, Hampshire. Under her leadership, La Foret won the esteemed Les Routiers Restaurant of the Year 2000 award for the UK. Kerry takes pride in having an all-female kitchen team
at the time of winning.
At Upper Rectory, Kerry combines her culinary expertise with a passion for locally and homegrown produce.
Paul manages the front of house and tends to the Kitchen Garden, ensuring the menus reflect seasonality and freshness.

The Shepherd's Hut
Our Shepherd’s Hut is perched in a picturesque meadow above Upper Rectory, offering a serene and peaceful setting for your stay.
